Modifying Your Existing Tracks

DANCERS: How'd you like to change the tempo of the tracks you're already using so the steps feel more comfortable? If you've ever tried dancing a routine to Frank Sinatra's New York, New York  you know that the original tempo is far too slow. So how can you speed up the tempo without turning Frank Sinatra into Mickey Mouse?

1.You could go out and spend hundreds of dollars on the latest state-of-the-art software to install in your new computer. Then spend many frustrating weeks trying to learn the program.

2. Or you could bring the track to me and in a few short minutes walk out with your finished product at a very reasonable price. No hassle no frustration.

As an example why not listen to the Sinatra recording I was just talking about. First the original slow version, then the version I edited. Notice that the tempo is faster however, Sinatra still sounds the same. Thus, a tempo change without changing the pitch.

Note: These are MP3 files and may take a moment to load.

This is what is known as digital editing or digital re-mastering. A process that many recording studios charge hundreds of dollars for. I can do it for one-tenth of their cost.

As they say on TV ... "But wait, that's not all ... If you order now ... We'll include in your order a genuine Ginsu Chef's knife"

Just kidding. However, I'm correct in saying; "But wait, that's not all ..."

SINGERS: How about assembling some medleys from your existing (Karaoke) tracks? We can change the key, tempo or edit the track so that the instrumental part is lengthened or removed. Almost anything is possible.

I can also repair bad splices and remove objectionable clicks and pops from your tracks. I'll bet your tracks would sound much better if we added some studio processing to them such as EQ, compression or reverb.

Just one more very annoying thing that happens when you're using several tracks from different sources. Many of my clients will say; "All of my tracks are not at the same volume level and they just don't sound the same."

You may have the same problem. You have a couple of tracks where the bass player sounds like he's three city blocks away and yet another track sounds like your ear is pasted to the speaker in his amp. I can smooth out all these irregularities in your tracks and make them sound consistent. A very important point when you're performing, as the audience is quick to notice this "amateur" mistake.

Bottom Line: Your music tracks are half your act. It's important that all your tracks have that "professional" sound. That's what I'm here for.
